The ‘Guanabara Bay clean-up’ project has featured in the new International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Blue Prints Series launched today.
The series outlines business models and illustrates the investment structure of a number of Nature-based Solution (NbS) projects. Based on projects supported by IUCN’s Blue Natural Capital Financing Facility, the series of blueprints highlights how restoration and conservation can be integrated into sustainable business models. And most importantly, they showcase how these projects can be grown using a blended finance approach to attract investors.
The inclusion will help highlight the 100+ projects on the Circular Action Hub to potential funders looking to support projects through different finance models including performance-based credits, pre-payments, sponsorship and grants.
