Additional principles and criteria may be required by different standards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mt-4\" data-v-73a03bf6=\"\">\n<p class=\"mt-4\" data-v-73a03bf6=\"\">F<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-secondary );\">inally, Circular Action Hub expects that the use of credits complements, as opposed to displace, other efforts of corporates to reduce their own waste footprint. In this regard, the Hub recommends the adoption of the <\/span><a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.3rinitiative.org\/solutions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-v-73a03bf6=\"\">3RI Guidelines for Leadership in Corporate Plastic Accounting<\/a><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-secondary );\">as a basis for designing a credible and environmentally robust waste footprint management strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-v-73a03bf6=\"\">The Hub recognises and support transactions of credits created through both voluntary and compliance schemes. At the same time, it recommends that buyers certify their activities to one the voluntary credit accounting standards recognised by the Hub, as these provide additional layers of social and environmental robustness to the resulting credits.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ee967b1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ee967b1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">VOLUNTARY CREDIT STANDARDS<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0f648ac elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0f648ac\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"mt-4\" data-v-73a03bf6=\"\">The following voluntary standards are currently recognised by the Hub:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"mt-4 ml-6\"><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.circularactionhub.org\/certificacao\/mecanisme-de-credits-circulaires\/?lang=fr\" data-v-73a03bf6=\"\">Circular Credits Mechanism and Standard (CCM)<\/a>&#8211; an innovative market-based mechanism to increase waste recovery and recycling rates, improve livelihoods and strengthen the circular economy. The CCM was designed with the specific objective to give small waste collection projects in developing countries direct access to market and finance.<\/li>\n<li class=\"mt-4 ml-6\"><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.circularactionhub.org\/certificacao\/standard-de-reduction-des-dechets-plastiques\/?lang=fr\" data-v-73a03bf6=\"\">Plastic Waste Reduction Standard <\/a>created by Verra with support from the 3R Initiative, the PWRS was developed to ensure the highest level of environment integrity and robustness.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.circularactionhub.org\/certificacao\/obp-neutrality-subprogram\/?lang=fr\">Ocean Bound Plastic Neutrality Subprogram<\/a> &#8211; part of the OBP Certification Program, created by the NGO Zero Plastic Oceans (ZPO), which focuses on reducing the amount of plastic waste entering the ocean.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c5f5399 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c5f5399\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">COMPLIANCE SCHEMES<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-911a9c4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"911a9c4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"mt-4\" data-v-73a03bf6=\"\">Circular Action Hub also supports projects, activities and credit schemes that facilitates compliance with waste management legislation, such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes.
